Tonight I'm going out with some girlfriends to a small plates lounge for cocktails (how grown up does that sound?) ...and I'm extra excited because the food is all organic and purchased from local farms. Plus, they have PB & J ice cream - what's not to love?
Then on Saturday, Drew and I are going to see all of the short films that were nominated for Oscars this year - the art deco theater E Street Cinema (in downtown DC) shows the live action and animated shorts as collections. This will be my fourth year in a row and I'm so excited!
And one last thing before I hit you with some sweet links from around the web - thank you again for reading, dear readers! This blog is truly something that brings joy into my life and it's all because of you! If you're reading this, please feel free to share these posts with your friends or "like" my page on Facebook - I want to be able to connect with you guys and hear what you're thinking! I hope you'll drop a line or comment and say hello!
Alright, now the good stuff - some super cool links to start off your weekend:
For those of you who are enjoying my style posts, you will LOVE this new blog I just found - Kendi Everyday. Beautiful photography, real fashions (from stores where we shop), and she's hilarious to boot. I got lost in her archives last night!
If you need a good laugh, please enjoy this Buzzfeed super cut: "No One Hates 'Twilight' As Much As Robert Pattinson"...contempt can be so hilarious when it comes with a British accent.
For anyone crushing on "The New Girl" on Fox as much as me, you'll really enjoy this Vulture article about the Nick/Jess storyline. If you haven't seen the last two episodes - spoilers abound! Proceed with caution!
If you're getting pounded by the snowstorm (or maybe just need a Spring-y pick-me-up), The Effortless Chic did a great roundup of floral pumps. The #4 pair from The Loft are definitely my faves!
As we go into Pre-Valentine's weekend, please enjoy this great romantic comedy roundup from the cuties at Madewell - there is no heart break too great to be fixed with a little Sixteen Candles and Annie Hall.
And last, but not least, GO RAVENS! Baltimore proved this week that they're not just "The Wire" and crabs, guys... but my favorite thing to come out of all of the madness is this hilarious Weekend Update bit (with Kenan as Ray Lewis). "No roads are closed to Ray Lewis!" Laugh and enjoy :)
Until Monday, my darlings!
